Used putters: what to pay

Type any putter for its target price and every live option under it.

Putters hold their value better than any other club. Many golfers keep one for years, and collector models can be worth more than they cost new.

Typical used putter price: $143–$288. That’s the middle half of the 196 putters we’ve priced; the typical one is about $185. Newer models sit at the top of the range.

Before you buy. Length matters: pick one close to what you use now (most are 33 to 35 inches). Check the head style and hosel, the grip, and whether the headcover is included; on collector putters it adds real value.
