By using ClubChecks you agree to these terms. They are short because the service is simple: we give you a target price and point you to live listings. The buying happens elsewhere.
The service
ClubChecks is a free information service. You give it a golf club name or a listing link; it identifies the club, estimates a target price, and shows listings and store stock it found for that club. It is operated by ClubChecks ("we", "us").
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use the service.
What a target price is, and isn't
- A target is an estimate produced by our algorithm from the prices we track for a club and specification at the time you search. It is our opinion of a good price to aim for. It is not an appraisal, an offer to buy or sell, or a guarantee that any club is available at that price.
- Prices, availability and conditions change constantly and our data can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Always check the listing itself before you buy.
- Verdicts such as "Great buy" or "Overpriced" compare one listing's price to the target. They say nothing about the seller, the club's authenticity or condition, or the safety of the transaction.
- Filters such as loft, hand and putter length narrow the data. Where we say a target uses every length or every loft, it does.
Listings and stores
- Listings belong to the marketplaces, stores and sellers that publish them. We display what they publish and link to it. We are not a party to any sale, we don't take payment, and we don't handle shipping, returns or disputes.
- When you click a listing you leave ClubChecks. The store's own terms and policies apply from that point.
- Store names appear on results so you know where a price comes from. Their trademarks belong to them; showing a name doesn't imply endorsement in either direction.
- We may add, remove or change which stores and listings appear at any time.
Affiliate links
Some links to stores are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, the store may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never affect the target price, the order of results, or whether a listing appears; results are sorted by price alone and no store pays to be included. Acceptable use
You may use ClubChecks to research clubs for yourself. You may not:
- Run automated queries, scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site or its results, or bypass our fair-use limits.
- Reproduce our targets, verdicts or result sets in another product or service, or use them to train models, without our written permission.
- Probe, disrupt or attempt to gain access to any part of the service that isn't offered to visitors.
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to misrepresent our estimates as anything other than estimates.
We may limit or block access that we believe breaches these terms, without notice.
Our content
The ClubChecks name, logo, design, copy, catalog, targets and the methods behind them are ours. You may share links to result pages freely. Everything else needs our permission.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that any listing is genuine, available or accurately described.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any loss of money, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from any purchase you make from a third party after using it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
Changes
We may change the service or these terms. When terms change we update the effective date at the top; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. We may also suspend or end the service at any time.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard in its courts. Questions: admin@clubchecks.com.
