Used iron sets: what to pay

Type any iron set for its target price and every live option under it.

An iron set is the biggest spend in most bags, and the place where the details matter most. Two generations of the same iron can sit hundreds of dollars apart, so the model year is part of the price.

Before you buy. Count the clubs (4–PW, 5–PW, with or without a gap wedge), check the shaft (steel or graphite, and the flex) and confirm the model year. Look at the grooves on the short irons; they wear first.
